Food

Family Ministries will gladly accept all non perishable food items as well as gift certificates to grocery stores and discount stores that carry groceries is a good way to help in this area.

Clothing

New clothing and shoes are preferred. It is very important that we do not give the children old "hand me downs." Many of the children already feel they have been "tossed away, " and we want each one of them to know they are special.

Personal Items

We will gratefully accept only new Personal care items (in their original packaging) to distribute to the kids in our homes
(e.g., hair brushes, dental care items, Underclothes, etc.)

Sponsor a Child

Family Ministries of Florida's Sponsor ship program allows you, your Sunday school class, your church, or your organization to have the opportunity to make an impact on a child's life, A sponsor is a person(s) who are able to provide the financial support to meet the needs of a child at Family Ministries.  The Ministry provides a stable Christian home, a Christian education, food, shelter, and several other needs of the children.

As we accept new children into the Family Ministries Program, the Ministry incurs the additional cost in meeting their needs.  Many of the children in the program are unable to pay for their care, but these are the children who need Family Ministries most.

How to Sponsor a Child

It only takes a minimum gift of $15 to make an Impact and sponsor a child however, if you are able to give more, you can make a greater impact.  If you are interested in sponsoring a child contact Steven Geise at stevegeise@familyministriesfl.org.

Other Ways To Get Involved

There are a couple of different ways that you can get involved in helping Family Ministries of Florida.  First, you can organize a food, clothing, or toy drive for the Ministry. This is a great way to get your group involved in learning about Family Ministries and everyone can be involved.  Second, you could put together a group of adults and teens that would be willing to come to the ministry and do some needed work. (These dates are limited due to the activities of the children please call in advance to see if there are any dates available.)
